Weather permitting the Comets will eat into their fixture backlog this weekend with four Championship meetings in four days starting with a visit to Glasgow tomorrow (Thursday) at 7:30pm.
That is quickly followed by a second meeting in Scotland the following day when they visit Edinburgh on Friday evening at the earlier than usual start time of 7:00pm.

This is because the Monarchs are staging a 'double-header' which sees them first take on the Comets at 7:00pm, which is then followed by a top four clash between Edinburgh and Ipswich.

The Comets return to Derwent Park on Saturday where, at 7:00pm, they entertain the Newcastle Diamonds before heading south on Sunday to visit Peterborough, with the match against the Panthers now getting underway at the earlier start time of 5:00pm.

The Comets will again need to call on guests to fill the troublesome number 7 position vacated by Rob Shuttleworth - with Dale Lamb stepping in on Thursday at Glasgow, Ryan MacDonald on Friday at Edinburgh, Tom Woolley on Saturday against Newcastle and Jake Knight at Peterborough on Sunday.
