Edinburgh have it covered!

The Edinburgh Monarchs have their Armadale circuit covered in order to give tonight's double-header against the Comets and Ipswich every chance to beat the weather and go ahead.
Edinburgh are desperate for tonight's two home fixtures to go ahead as they bid to secure their top four play-off place!
A large team of people put the covers down on Wednesday afternoon and evening ahead of the torrential rain that hit Scotland yesterday (which forced the Comets scheduled match at Glasgow to be postponed at 8:00am).
Their plan is for the covers to be lifted early this afternoon (weather permitting) to allow final track preparation to take place ahead of the double-header, which gets underway against the Comets at the earlier start time of 7:00pm.
Our match will be followed by the Edinburgh v Ipswich fixture, which sees two of the likely top-four play-off candidates go 'head to head' and the Witches include our own Thomas Jorgensen in their line-up as a guest.
Meanwhile, the forecast has improved significantly for the weekend with our home match against Newcastle on Saturday (7:00pm start) and our away match at Peterborough on Sunday (which now has a 5:00pm start) looking to be away from any significant rain based on current forecasts.
Saturday's home clash against Newcastle sees the Diamonds using Chris Harris as a guest at number one in place of Robert Lambert, who will be returning from his World Under-21 Championship round in Germany. Meanwhile, on Sunday Peterborough will be operating Rider Replacement for Chris Harris, who is competing in the British Masters Grasstrack Championship that day!
